1Aaron, I’d be interested in taking you up on the offer you made over at BloggingExperiment.com: “If you would be willing to comment on it on your blog I would be happy to write a post and make the php pages available for your readers.”
If you post about it, I’ll definitely comment on it in one of my WordPress Wed. posts for blogging experiment.
The way you handle the subscription signup is very nicely implemented.
Thanks,
Jim

6Beakaway,
I do have advertising on my blog–for my subscriber list.
If you want to know how I’ve made almost $3K from this blog this month you’ll have to stay tuned until next week!

10Derek,
If you signed up via email you should receive it instantly once you confirm your email address.
If you signed up via RSS just look at the bottom of the feed and you will find the password along with links to your bonuses, etc.

11Hey Aaron,
I would love to take you up on your offer at aweber about the confirmation message when someone does not confirm there email address. This would be a great tool, I have added a audio instructing people to confrim still would like to increase confrims even more.

14Greg,
While Aweber is good, it’s not perfect. It looks like both your email addresses are undeliverable. It doesn’t tell me why, and it could be a number of reasons. It could be a typo though that would be strange with two different addresses. It could be you have blocked Aweber or your ISP’s have. It could be full mailboxes.

15Hey Aaron, I’ll take you up on your offer for the scripts to get that 90% confirm rate you mentioned over at the Aweber blog.
Thanks!

On an aweber blog you mention how you increase your response, and that you don’t mind sharing the script you used to get response up to 90%

20Hi Arron
I’ve downloaded your submagic pdf and after looking through the code, there seems to be a section missing. There doesn’t seem to be any code to change the cookie from 2 to 1 when the subscriber confirms. I think you should have included this final page, data.php in the case of subscribers who have asked for the scripts.
While I have the knowledge to add the required code to modify the cookie at this final stage, I’m sure many others will not.
Also, have you missed this step in your own page? I still get the reminder box on your home page even though I have confirmed.
Regards
William

21Actually I left the fourth page completely out!
The page where you download the bonuses–the one you are automatically sent to from Aweber when you confirm–needs to have a script on it to write a cookie with a value of “1″.
PHP looks like this:
[?php
setcookie(’subscribed’,'1′,time()+3600*24*180,”/”,”.fulltiltblogging.com”);
?]
Change the [ and ] to < and > and change the domain to your own.
Not sure why you didn’t get a cookie. Maybe you were a bad boy. On the submagic download page the cookie is written using JavaScript instead of php–is it possible you have JS disabled? Anyway I need to change it to php. Server side is always better.

22Hi Arron,
Can you send me your opt-in scripts you use that you talked about over in the Aweber blot. I’m really struggling with improving our opt-in conversions for an autoresponder series we send new leads received from strategic partners. These are not the same as a lead just on our website because of the time delay, but the principles should be the same. Our opt-in rate is “really low”, around 15%.
Thanks, Hubert

23Hi Aaron
I read your response over on Aweber for the post ‘Want Subscribers to Confirm? Get Creative!’ and I am very interested in those scripts you were talking about. I would appreciate it very much if you would allow me to use them. Anything to help increase my opt in rate.
Thanks,
Lynette

25Hi Aaron,
Thanks for the aweber option scripts. They work very well. One thing I can’t figure out though is how can we pass on custom variables to our thank you page.
Apparently the custom variables that aweber creates has the word “custom” plus a space.
So for a custom variable “age” aweber would make it “custom age”. So in the URL the parameters displayed for the custom age variable is “custom%20age=”
I’m trying to print out this on the thank you page using the $_GET function but php doesn’t seem to be able to pick up the variable because there is that space that turns into %20.
Any ideas on this? Thanks so much.

27Hey Aaron,
I came across your link from Courtney Tuttle’s blog where you stated “There are tons of people out there who will put up these blogs for you with high quality content for peanuts. If anyone needs some recommendations just stop by my blog and drop me a note.”
I’m definitely interested in this resource. Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
