I have been using Twitter quite a bit the past couple weeks, I have been enjoying it a lot. Hard to imagine those small snipits of content would keep me interested but they do! I am meeting some neat people too, and now I think it’s safe to say I want to stick around a while, and learn how to eventually monetize this crowd I have following me on Twitter (@aarronabber).
So, what should you do when you have tried out Twitter, and you decide you like it? I want to add Twitter to my long list of places where I publish content, or interact with friends and associates. I plan on making updates at my blogs and websites, to make them more integrated with my Twitter account. Get some cross pollination going, you know, bring website visitors to the Twitter account, and vice versa.
Here are a few cool ideas of what you can do & what I will be adding to this very site over the next few days. How about a small widget for your sidebar to show recent tweets (twitter messages) you have sent… How about adding a cool ‘follow me on Twitter’ graphical button to your site on your ‘about me’ page, or the sidebar… How about your Twitter account automatically sending a tweet whenever you update your blog, with a link & the article title… There are many more great ideas that will tie Twitter into your website or blog, check out this great article I found on the TOP 10 Twitter Integration Tools you can use.
