Yesterday I told you I would be prepping you for the launch of your new subscriber site this week by sketching out some easy ideas on success in every area. Today you are going to grasp some simple tips that will bring you amazingly simple financial success.
“Pursue Having More than Enough”
The key to financial success is having more than enough–more than enough for today and more than enough long-term. Here are some tips to quickly get you there.
“Have a Second (or Third or Fourth) Income”
Start a business. A web business is probably the easiest, but start a business even if it isn’t on the web. Plan it in such a way that it can run itself (or you can pay someone to run it.) Don’t take out any income from it for six months. Then, take 1/3 the profit and invest it either back into the business or into a new business, take 1/3 the income and set it aside for taxes, and take the final 1/3 as income.
Follow this plan and the 1/3 you keep will quickly outstrip your “job” income.
“Take Care of Long-Term Needs”
When you look at your income, take the first portion and put it away for the future. First build a 3-6 month savings cushion for unexpected emergencies. Then begin investing for a long-term future. If you aren’t saving anything now, start by saving 2% of your income then add 2% every six months until you are saving a solid 10%.
“Take Care of Immediate Needs”
After you put away your long-term savings, pay your bills. You need to have shelter, food, water, car and clothing. Make sure that month’s bills are paid. And then…
“Spend Everything That’s Left Over–But Pay Cash”
Have fun with what’s left over. After all, you deserve it. You’ve saved for the future. You’ve paid your bills. Now have a blast.
Only one caution: Pay cash. Don’t mortgage the future on a trip to Disneyworld–as cool as Mickey Mouse is, he isn’t going to make your house payment when you’re unable to work.
“Consistently Follow This Plan and Grow Rich”
In a surprisingly short period of time–very short if your side businesses are successful–you will be financially independent.

1Mulitiple Streams of Income is the great business model. Never put all the eggs in one basket.
Doing business is the easiest to implement even for the newbies. It’s required minimal capital and the opportunities is endless.
You can run your online business on autopilot and it’s work for you 24/7, 365 days without any grumbling.
I’m agreed with you that we need to reinvest part of our income into the business and take care of long term basic needs rather waste it in “luxuries needs”.
To your success

8Aaron - I found you on Garry Conn’s post about your call today and have read some of the archive posts - good stuff!! I’m subscribed and wish you the very best of success launching your new site. Just some advice - don’t include the marketing babe or you are going to scare away your new subscribers.

9Marketing Babe Annie,
Thanks for the comment and for subscribing.
I agree with you–Shane isn’t exactly good advertising. I’ll try to limit Shane’s exposure on my sites.

10I believe that most of the points you stated are true, although the reality is that up to now I wasn’t able to realize them with persistence.
For example I’ve started to set aside a fix amount of my online income as savings, but I falled back more then once to grab that money. The only good news is that I took that money reinvesting it in my online business.
As a part of the process to expand the mentality of abundance (or “the pursuit to have more than enough” as you call it), I’ve started to destinate a fixed % of my online income to charity and most of the times I do it thru Kiva.org (checkout the post on my blog, if you want to know moer about Kiva, microcredit and how this tool can change the world).
I like also the point of built ongoing new and different types of income streams. Up to now I’ve online made a few bucks with Adsense thru blogs, but now I want to learn also marketing skills and it seems that I’m in the right place here
