Marketing Babe Kayleen,

I haven't taken a close look at how this displays, so it's hard for me to say how you could evaluate how many people LOOK at the ad, but it is pretty easy to figure out how many people visit a page with the ad using your standard stats and see how many click on the ad the same way.

Aaron I guess like anything it doesn't hurt to try and see what response. Is there anyway to monitor how affective they are though?

Marketing Babe Kayleen,

I wonder how long these types of ads will be around and/or be effective. It was innovative at first--and like you at first I didn't know what it was or how to access it--but once the novelty wears off it may decline sharply.

I agree. Making it more obvious prompting the reader to move the mouse over it is the key. I have seen these recently and ignored it not knowing what it was.
