Last year I was having a conversation with a woman at http://com.org.au/. As a sponsor I asked her how much it costs for a person to live in India. She told me they live off about $1AU per day! The cost of keeping a roof over their head for a family (A hut) was around $150.00 per annum.

Like in America, we in Australia are blessed beyond the wildest dreams of many. I posted a very touching video on my blog in April titled : How lucky are you? This video breaks down the world statistics and enlightens us to what a small percentage of “lucky souls” we are in comparison to the rest of the world population. It is a real eye opener.

Hi Aaron,

You've had some great posts before, but this one is #1 in my book. It's so easy for people to focus on what they don't have, or what is wrong, as opposed to what they have and what they should be thankful for. Worse, it's so easy for people to forget why things are the way they are. The United States (and Canada, for that matter) didn' happen by accident. Generations of people sacrificed and fought for the lives that many now take for granted. If you live in any western country, your life is better than 99% of any other person on the planet. We should never forget that.
