Well, Monday’s here again, which means another week of the Daily Blog Summary. My pick of the day is a post by Gary Conn, which I think is required reading. There are a lot of internet scams out there and Gary talks about a big one here, as well as an A-List blogger who is promoting it.
Pick of the Day - The Must Read Post
Garry Conn calls out John Chow for his review of the “Reverse Funnel System”. If you’re still under the delusion that it’s possible to mindlessly follow a system and make money online, you need to read this now.
There are a ton of Affiliate programs out there. In order to stand out from the competition, many of these have rewards programs of various kind. Zac Johnson gives a nice overview of these reward programs in this post.

Ask The Blogger answers the question “How do I find Niche Topic Blogs?” Apparently, there are other blogs out there besides MMO, lol.

Steve at Pure Blogging has a great post on “10 Ways to Help the Creative Flow”. If you blog regularly, this post will definitely help you get over any case of writer’s block that you might have.

As usual, CopyBlogger has a great post on “How to Increase Engagement and Authority with Quotations”. A well used and appropriate quote can really get an article going. Well worth the read.

Are you interested in making online video’s? Jim Kukral has put together an online video tool kit. You can read about it from this post by Shawn Collins (note: you have to sign up to watch the videos).

1That article by Garry Conn was great. It seems like there’s a bit of backlash amongst bloggers to restore some of the “make money online” image that has been tainted by people who’ll make money without any concern for who they might step on in the process.

2In any market taking advantage of people is a short-term strategy that will put you out of business.
Several funny things about Chow’s review. Though the stated author is Chow, it doesn’t seem to reveal much understanding of how business actually works. Any business, not just the reverse funnel.
Also it implies that in order to “do” this business you have to invest $3,000.00 for a “secret product.” It also implies that when you purchase said product the people two tiers up from you each receive $1,000 in commission. If this is accurate I believe there is a strong possibility it is a Ponzi scheme and, as such, would be illegal in the US.
It strikes me as odd that Chow wouldn’t be aware of that, but I haven’t spent $50 just to find out. Maybe Chow wanted the cash–$1,000 commissions add up quickly–but it seems strange to me.
