Lots of great posts today. I’m feeling a little sick today (head cold, bleh), so let’s just get to it.
Pick of the Day - The Must Read Post
Extra for Every Publisher has a good post on why “Negative Comments Aren’t Negative – Ya Jerk”. He explains why creating a little controversy, for the right reasons, is not a bad thing at all. If you want to increase the comments you are receiving on your blog, it’s worth checking out.

Other Great Articles
Daniel at DailyBlogTips has a great post on why it’s important for serious bloggers to keep an idea journal. We all get ideas for possible blog posts during the day. Most of the time, however, they don’t occur when we’re sitting in front of a computer. Keeping an idea journal can help with this, and a lot more.

Ask the Blogger answers the question “is Social Media Marketing a Good Strategy?” The answer is yes! What is great about this post is that there is a video of Darren Rowse explaining how to do this.

Mark at 45n5.com has a post and video (as always) on how to build profitable minisites. If this is of interest to you, then Mark’s thoughts are definitely worthwhile.

Shawn Collins has a post on building affiliate pages ahead of the trends. Even more important, he shows that he practices what he preaches by actually making a quick website for a new book that is coming out. It will be interesting to see how he does with this.

1I really liked the journal idea. I tend to have a lot of ideas rolling around my head and never get around to writing them down.
Thanks for another great wrap-up David.

2This summary is great. I can use the idea journal, I enjoyed the videos on building mini websites and finding domains and agree that negative comments and controversial topics help your blog.
