Thanks for this, David. I like the post from Mike’s Money that suggests that you ask for the backlink. But what do you do when you want several things. Please “share this,” please “subscribe,” please “rate this,” please “backlink,” etc. I think you probably have to pick something.

btw, I have pulled up about 20 sites in the last hour and saw this exact theme 3 times already…. theme change?
I’m curious as to what other’s opinions are on the regular blog income reports. Is this something that is considered essential on “make money blogging” type blogs?
@Lightening - I personally find them to be very interesting. It helps me understand what works and what doesn’t, and what direction I might want to take my blog.
I think these reports also serve to increase the credibility of the blogger. People have a tendency to trust someone who will share that kind of private information. Plus, if the report is good, people want to read the blog to learn how to duplicate the result.
But, I don’t think it is required. Sure can drive a lot of traffic however.
