You are about to be able to quantify exactly what it takes to be happy—and how leadblogging gets you there.
You are trying to make money blogging because you believe, on some level, that the income you receive from blogging will make your life better. Make you happier.
To be financially happy you have about three options:
First, you can be paid to play. If you get paid for what you would gladly do for free, working isn’t really working, it’s play. People in this situation are some of the happiest in the world.
Second, you can work at a job which gives you very little stress yet allows you to live the life you desire. I know of a number of autoworkers in Detroit who fit this profile. They are more than willing to trade their 40 hour work week for the lifestyle it provides them. The job isn’t stressful for them and they can still pay for their home, bills and fishing boat.
Third, you can own a business where you work very short periods of time, but are very well paid for the time you do put in. This is where leadblogging comes in.
As you collect leads from your blogging, those leads become like an oil well. If cultivated properly those leads can pay you again and again every month for very little ongoing work
You simply decide each month on a product to promote—either your own or someone else’s—send out an email or two each week and your list buys the products. Does everyone buy? Of course not, but if you have a list in a target market of 1,000 RSS and email subscribers, you will likely average anywhere from 25 cents to $2 per subscriber per month.
Not bad for a few hours a month.
