One great way to get your blog more attention is to use your domain name as your user name when you comment on other blogs, register for forums or do anything else where your user name is displayed.
For example: When I comment on other blogs and it asks for my name I don’t put “Aaron Abber“. Instead I put “Aaron at FullTiltBlogging.com“. Here is a screen shot from a comment I made over at ProBlogger.net:

Whenever someone reads the comment they also get my URL.
You can do the same with your user name at a forum or anywhere else a user name is displayed.

1Hi Aaron! You know that is what caught my eye with your comment over at problogger, the way you’ve used your website and name together. I’ll give it a go here, but we (unfortunately) picked one that is vastly huge (next purchase will be four letters if there are any left LOL!).

2Four letters are all gone. Don’t worry, it will work for you even with a long domain name. My first big success was with a site with [counts fingers and toes] 19 letters and hyphens BEFORE the dot com–making 23 total.
Speaking of which–doesn’t your domain have hyphens? Yeah, I thought so. I’ll edit it for you.
I got your email and you’ll hear from me tomorrow.

3Hi Aaron,
How did you do your banner? I like it simple but clear.

4Hey Shirley,
Thanks for visiting and commenting.
For simple banners like this I use Xara 3D. This is a pretty pathetic example, however, since I am not much of a designer.
